In the name of God Amen I Thomas Strudwick of Hawkhurst in the county of Kent gentlemen being of sound mind and memory thanks be to God do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

Ffirst and principally I most humbly recommend my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to receive a decent burial at the discretion of my executors and as to the worldly goods and effects it has pleased God to bless me with hereby dispose thereof as follows

I give device and bequeath my money in the publick funds and all and singular other my moneys and securities for money goods and chattels credits and effects whatsoever and wheresoever to Thomas Lewis of Austin Ffryars London Esq. and Mary Lewis of Queen Anne Street West Mary le Bow London spinster to hold the same in trust to and for the sole use and benefit of my sister Anne Strudwick for and during the term of the natural life to be paid and delivered to her from time to time and in such manner and form as the said Thomas Lewis and Mary Lewis shall think proper and for that purpose

it is my will that the said Thomas Lewis and Mary Lewis and the survivors of them shall and may have power to sell all or any part of my said monies in the public funds goods and chattels and effects whatsoever and from and immediately after the decease of my said sister Anne Strudwick

I give and devise and bequeath all such of my money is in the public funds and other my goods and chattels credits and effects whatsoever and wheresoever that Shall be and remain after the payment of my just debts probate of this my will and charges attending the execution thereof to the said Thomas Lewis and Mary Lewis and their heirs and assigns forever

and I nominate constitute and appoint the said Thomas Lewis and Mary Lewis joint executor and executrix of this my last will and revoking all others ratify and confirm this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of September in the year of our lord 1788 Thos. Strudwick
